Taylor Cunningham
Wildlife Photographer

Growing up in Florida and around the ocean I was lucky to cultivate a love for marine life early on. After acquiring degrees in Marine Science and Biology my passion for sharks and the ocean only grew. I was tired of being stuck in a lab and wanted to experience the underwater world firsthand. That's when I moved to Oahu, Hawaii to pursue shark diving and underwater photography. Now my goal is to travel the globe in search of wildlife experiences and conservation efforts to photograph and document why our ocean deserves protection.

Let's Work Together!

Looking for a safety diver, divemaster, underwater photographer & videographer, or someone to work in front of or behind the camera? Reach out! Let’s create something epic together! I am constantly looking for new photography and film projects to get inspired by.

My passion for photography grew out of my passion for spending time in nature with wildlife. Getting out in the field and freediving some of the world’s most incredible underwater locations has allowed me to capture some images I am truly proud of. My canon camera and I have gone on quite the adventure together. I hope to not only create art with my photos but also capture the beauty of the ocean so that others may feel inspired to protect it.

Ocean Conservation matters to me and it should matter to you! A healthy ocean means a healthy planet. Find ways to get involved and tips on ways you can help below!

Read The Blog

My mission is to show you how incredible the ocean is so that you hopefully feel more of a connection to it; even if you don't have access to the water yourself. Blogging has been a great way to share my experiences and adventures. I hope by sharing insight into freediving, ocean conservation, sharks, underwater photography, and more you can learn more about why the ocean is worth protecting.

"For in the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught."

shark diver wearing shark tooth design freediving fins

Shark Tooth Freediving blades

I always wanted a fun pair of freediving blades but as a shark diver I do my best to avoid bright and neon colors as they can attract unwanted attention from the sharks. I worked closely with Penetrator fins to design a fun pair of blades specifically designed by a shark diver for shark divers (and shark lovers).

All of penetrators fins are top quality and these carbon fiber blades are no exception!
